Homemade Poptarts

A friend on FB made these with her kids and I was inspired to try it out. It was easy and really good!
I used premade pie crust and filled it with different jams and preserves. I crimped the edges with a fork.
I used strawberry, grape and guava. The grape and guave were the best ones. The oven was set to 400* and I kept an eye on it. I think it was 9 min or so.
I made the icing using powered sugar and lemon juice.

My little Brownie Cup...

These are so easy to make but they make you look like a culinary genius. I saw these originally on Pinterest and the link didn't lead anywhere, so I decided to make a quick step by step.
All you need is brownie batter, peanut butter and Oreo's. Its really self explanatory.
*I will add that the first two cups I made the brownie batter was thicker, so I thinned it out a tiny bit with water and I think it came out better that way. Try it either way, your still a genius!*

Smear peanut butter to oreos (or really any amazing cookie would work, chocolate chip cookies, thin mints)

Place in a greased muffin tin.

Make brownie batter according to package directions. Again, I thinned mine out a bit.

The bottom left 2 are the ones that had thicker batter. My husband says that they were 'brownier'.
Pour brownie mix over cookie concoction!

The left ones here are the brownier ones.

The brownie cups just popped right out of the pan. A quality pan makes all the difference.

Mediterranean Bean Salad

Inspired by Pinterest I've decided to try blogging again. Since food is my love language, that is where I will start!

I've recently had twins and I don't have a lot of time to be doing ANYTHING, but I love cooking and I need to be in the kitchen, so I choose a simple, clean and refreshing bean salad to start out with.

Very simple ingredients and instructions. Don't complicate it!!
I can of white beans (rinsed)
1/2 cuke, diced
3 Roma tomatos, diced
small slivers of red or white onions
parsley flakes, S & P, EVOO, splash of lemon juice

1. Mix all together in a bowl.
Chill and Enjoy!

Before - After post are the best.

Check out this awesome transformation:

This poor brass lantern lamp almost had no chance at a new life. Until I came along and gave it a new lease on life.

After: Shabby Chic Lantern

I removed the bubble glass inserts and cut out the electrical wiring. I then spray painted it with Krylon Catalina Mist. Easy projects like this that are completed with relatively little work bring me so much gratification. :)

My first before / after post!!!

I'm so excited about my first project that I worked hard to finish just to say that I finished my first project (except that I haven't really finished it because it still needs a clear coat).

I chose a vintage wooden highchair and decided to turn it into a shabby chic pretty little number.

We need a little rain in central Florida. Don't you just love the shade of blue I mixed up?

Go love on your projects!! They are waiting for you.
